ANIMAL CARE GUIDES
Years of research and experience, brought together into practical animal care guides.
Animal care is something I have been researching and learning about for several years. Over that time, I have accumulated notes, research and practical knowledge across a range of species and areas of animal care.
Rather than leaving that information scattered across years of notes and research, I have decided to bring it together into a collection of clear, easily digestible care guides.
ABOUT THE GUIDES
Each guide takes the research I have collected on a particular animal or subject and organises it into a practical resource that is easy to navigate and understand.
The guides are intended to cover the areas that matter most when caring for an animal, including housing, diet, behaviour, enrichment, health, welfare and everyday husbandry, while explaining the reasoning behind good care rather than simply providing a checklist of requirements.
Where appropriate, information from my existing research will be reviewed and updated before publication so that each guide reflects the best information available at the time it is written.
THE COLLECTION
The collection is currently being compiled from research and material I have developed over several years.
Guides will be added individually as that material is reviewed, expanded and converted into a finished format. Some will focus on the complete care of an individual species, while others may examine a particular aspect of animal welfare, behaviour or husbandry in greater depth.
The aim is not to publish as many guides as possible, but to gradually build a collection of useful, well-researched and accessible resources.
GUIDES
The first guides are currently in development.
New guides will appear here as they are completed.
